Alternate Routing

Each Strata CIX can be programmed for thousands of routing patterns for Strata Net alone. This allows the creation of networks in which calls can be automatically re-routed around network

disruptions. Centralized facilities and features can continue to work and users will be unaware of problems while they are being repaired.

Alternate Routing also permits Toll Bypass in which Strata Net can be used to deliver a public call from a point in the network where toll charges are minimized. Such a scheme is known as “Hop Off” for the ability of the private network to determine the point at which the call will hop off to the public network.
